Марины: Borkum
Borkum is Germany’s westernmost North Sea island and a practical tidal stop between the Netherlands and the German coast.
О месте Borkum
Borkum lies at the entrance to the Ems estuary and is often the first German landfall for yachts arriving from the Netherlands. Access follows buoyed channels through Wadden Sea areas and is strictly tide-dependent. Unlike Heligoland, shallow water and drying flats are a major factor when planning entry and departure.
The island has a resort atmosphere, while the yacht harbour itself remains practical and transit-oriented. Borkum is commonly used as an intermediate stop before continuing to Emden, Norderney, or Juist.
