Limassol pairs an exposed, year-round commercial gateway with modern superyacht facilities right by the waterfront. Tides are small, so day-to-day levels are shaped mostly by wind and set. In summer, northerly Etesians and local breezes dominate; in winter and spring, passing systems shift the wind and swell. As a base, it works well for clockwise or counter-clockwise circuits of the island and for onward passages across the eastern Mediterranean.
